What is special theory of relativity??What happens when we travel with the speed of light ??Let's explore some principles and thought experiment which is proposed by great scientists Albert Einstein.
3000yrs ago we are unknown to rest and motion later sir Issac Newton discovered lots of principle which proves rest and motion are relative terms. For example we can say a moving car is in a motion in respect to the bodies around surrounding.A thought experiment has been done to support this theory. In this experiment A boys stands in a bus stop and his friends travel In a bus moving from East to West with the speed of 20km/hr.when people from bus observe a boy standing there.they found the boy is in motion moving from West to East with the speed of 20km/hr.and when a boy observe people he found the people from bus is in motion. Similarly the people from bus found himself is in rest.The confusion was who is correct. It is found both are correct. And concluded rest and motion as a relative terms.There are two types of references from which the bodies can be known as rest or motion. i.e,
Inertial frame of reference
The system in which the Newton's first law of motion holds good are called inertial frame of reference. Or any frame of reference that moves with a constant velocity relative to an inertial frame is itself inertial frame of reference.
Non inertial frame of reference
The system in which the Newton's first law of motion doesn't hold good are called non inertial frame of reference. Or A frame of reference which is in accelerated motion with respect to an inertial frame is called non inertial frame of reference.
Speed of light of was very complex topic for the reacher at that time.Speed of light was not following the rules of rest and motion that it is relative terms. Albert Einstein on the age of 16 used to think to travel on the light. So,it make him interested to explain it as it was found to be constant. Maxwell did experiment and found it Is electromagnetic waves and it has same properties as other electromagnetic waves. But Michelson Morley found the speed of light is constant.Albert Einstein started to think why it is constant if its true then there is missing something. Again he repeated that thought experiment in which some people were inside moving bus and some of them were outside the bus while doing these thought experiment he also consider the formula ; speed =distance travelled by an object/total time taken, When he remained the speed constant time and length was varying. In his thought experiment the speed of bus was taken the speed of light, this time people from outside the found the length of bus was shortening but it was normal to the passenger.Similarly the slow down for the passenger but they don't feel so.Next time a torchlight was turn on from the bus to the direction of the bus,now the speed of light becomes the speed of light+speed of bus but the speed of light remains constant. Remaining speed of light constant he found the length of bus was shortening and time was slow
Length contraction and time dilation
He found when people try to cross the speed of light, they can't cross because its nature barrier,To protect nature its rule it changes the time.it means when people travel with the speed of light the time slow down for him.when the people travel with the speed of light for a week and back to earth they will be in their future.According to theory of relativity it is possible to time travel when we make a spaceship of velocity 3 lakh km/s.Many incidents have been happened which show the possibility of time travel.A event was happened in Japan.A people who was claiming he is from the country Toured and he have proof that he was citizen of toured but No one was listened about toured.Policeman show him world map but there is no country named toured.policeman put him in hotel with high security for later discussion but he was disappeared in mysterious way.
When Albert Einstein thought about this theory he found it was not applicable for our universe. Later he found solution And published general theory of relativity.
